Frequently asked questions
General
Does it cost anything to participate?
No. Participation in WISE 2027 is free for everyone.
Who can create an account?
Teachers, parents or guardians, students aged 13 and over, and university students. Students under 13 are registered by their teacher or parent.
Do we need an advisor teacher?
No. An advisor is optional. A team can have up to 2 advisors.
Submission
In which language do we submit?
All project materials are submitted in English. The website itself is available in English, German, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
Can we enter more than one project or category?
Yes. A student can take part in up to 3 projects per season, in the same or different categories. Use a different team name for each project.
Can we enter a project that took part in another competition?
Yes, as long as at least one member of the original team is in your WISE team. Your WISE submission does not affect other competitions.
Can we change our project after submitting it?
You can edit your project freely as a draft. After you submit it, it is locked. If the organizers ask for a correction, you can edit it again until the deadline.
Judging & results
Will we see our score?
Yes. When results are published, every team sees its final score, the score for each criterion and the written comments of the jury.
Will a mistake in the report disqualify us?
No. Mistakes in the report cost points but do not disqualify a project. Only rule violations such as plagiarism lead to disqualification.
Certificates
Where can we use the certificate?
In applications to universities, schools, scholarships and internships. Every certificate has a code and QR code that anyone can verify on the WISE website.
